Bdae Party

Juz woke up again... 1 more night to my weekend for this week... Changed from a regular profile to fan profile in friendster a few days ago... Now m unable to add friends, how retarded is that? whoeva that i add now is now a fan, or maybe i juz dunneo how to...

Anyway, quite excited that Yim & my party is coming soon... Booked a yatch @ One degree 15... Long time since i've been on a yatch again... Celebrated my 1st bdae on it, then the 2nd then 3rd then, till 1 day my dad's company decided to downsize the sg site and shifted all & i do mean ALL of the ready made yatch to malaysia... -.-"

Used to go out to sea almost 2 or 3 times a year for free, now gotta pay for it if i want to, and thats like SGD2k per day of booking, not inclusive of the pilot + desiel... Crap...

Had booked the yatch for our bdae cum X'mas celebration... Sadly didnt have it to go out to sea, a bit sianz, but didnt wanted to spend so much... Lots of ppl cant confirm their attendance somemore and the stupid yatch can only have 20 people at a time... Freaking retarded...

Sick again… Darn flu… Wasted ½ a day sleeping…Finally got better… Saw a Starhub reminder for my Maxonline… My dad skipped payment yet again, now I’m unable to log on to the net…

Stuffs to do,

- Service bike

- Mount Whiteboard

- Mount Notice board

- Get a haircut

- Follow up with potential clients

- Follow up with incoming cheques

- Setup My CPU

Coz I had dismantled my CPU to get my power supply in order to troubleshoot my cousin’s com… Found out that my brothers in lens had yet to follow up with some clients… Sad… DIY again…

Hurried to setup my com, but the fever had overcome me, rested a few hours more… Woke up, called some clients, re-printed invoices, envelopes… Yet to feed, hungry moody, disappointed… SLR needs to be serviced, why was it not done during the past few days? Honeymoon period? Video cam also needs to be serviced, why did the video shoot only started when I posted my previous blog entry? Why were the videos rushed while I was working 12hrs night shift? Why were the cheques not followed up when it was all with him? Video cam servicing delayed yet again…

I know he had talked to me about it, I know it has just begun; I know he needs time, but I just need some assistance…

I want to study too, LaSalle, SOTA, NYFA or even ADM… I want to accompany my girl too… I too have my own problems to settle… I too need time for myself… I can’t be working both ways especially when I’m on shift…

Feels like I’m almost alone… Rushing stuffs… Handling 2 jobs… Overloading… Need rest… Need a break…

Yet another weekend...

finally the long awaited weekend is here... trying to adjust back to day after a long 5 weeks of 12 hrs night shifts...

experienced some problems on my bike's steering on my way to company n way back, think gotta get it to service soon...

hope my brothers in lens had did something productive while i was at work... hmm.. at least started on the highway video or the dvd covers i hope...

edited 2 videos yesterday... 3 more awaiting to be edited(1 of which has been pending for 2 weeks)... dvd covers & labels, time consuming dvd burning. all to be done by saturday, wondering if i could complete it in time... itz always a race against time...

overcome the fatigue i must... obstacles ahead i will crush...

Having 2 jobs is draining all my energy away... Especially when 1 of them is being ya own boss...
On night shift now, supposed to be sleeping, but was awaken by the thousands of stuffs that awaits to be done...

Drafted a small little list of stuffs to do, thinking if i had 1 mth of break from ST, i might be able to complete everything... Called Yim, helped me prioritize the stuffs... Now a video is still rendering in progress...

Random Thoughts... Thinking of what happened @ PH...

Bear was screaming his lungs off,
Wobbling about everywhere he went,
bumping into everyone in his way...
Ben following everywhere he went,
coaxing him, telling him what he's been through...
Kel keep telling ben to leave him alone,
He'll get back to normal once he puked...

Initially i was juz laughing my ass off with the rest of the guys,
Bear turns aggressive,
Screwing everyone that tried to clam him down...
Wandering his way through the crowd,
Bumping into people and crashing to the ground...
Ben & I was with him all the way, apologizing to people as we followed...

I was calm... till he shouted @ us, telling us to get lost...
I lost control for a moment, almost laid my knuckle into his cheek,
but managed to changed it to a grab instead,
I found myself choking him wif 1 hand and screaming into his face,
with my echo shouting back at me, i slammed him against the fence of dragonfly...

"if u want us to leave, fine!
only when u wake up!
u dont even know wtf r u doing,!"

Still choking him, i slammed him to the bushes...

"u cant even walk properly,
u think lying in the middle of the road is fun?
tying ya shoelaces while holding up the traffic behind u?
leaving u alone here will juz get u killed!
u think itz worth it to die here juz becoz u came out to drink?!"


he finally got control of himself so we dragged him to some secluded spot and left him to puke...

Kinda felt guilty about the chok-slam part, then again, it eliminated the agressiveness within him... Bear promised not to get drunk till that state again....

My FX7. Light, HD, 20x Optical, custom WB, f/stops, shutter, wide angle...
Had been experimenting with the features, trying to use it to itz limits b4 i upgrade to the XL2.... Still a very good camera i would say, but not reconmended for prolong useage. My lower back hurts after 2 days of continous wedding shoot with only less then 12 hours of sleep over a span of 4 days... Yawnz... Need gym training...

The Start of BTL...

What has started to be a hobby/pastime had now become a part of him.

His life is now revolving around BTL (BeyondTheLens).

BTL started as an idea by Yim (Law's buddy) and Himself.

They were in the army as a media/design team for the division, doing event coverage, corporate videos, work-plan videos, magazines, poster designs, calendar designs, blah blah blah...

When Law was attending some weddings of relatives & friends, he find himself seated watching the organizers running about and camera crew all over the place. He thought that it was nice not to be the part of the working crew for a while.

Some videos were shown during these wedding receptions, normally photo-montage of photos since young. He thought to himself, he could have easily done better than any of those. The urge to do the video was intensified after friends told him the charges... These videos could easily fetch a few hundred bucks to 1k! And he was doing millions of those for the army for 500 bucks per month~!

Soon Ivan (Ex-Colleague of Law's) introduced them to their 1^st “wedding customer”. They tried to make the video unique, not juz a photo-montage of some animated cartoons of the couple, but they were asked to act. They have to re-enact what actually happened, how they met, how they got together, and finally how he proposed... It turned out so well that it brought attention to many during the dinner itself.

Customers after customers and deals after deals, from a puny little camera to what BTL has today; We had build confidence, gained experiences, skills & will overcome whatever challenges that lies ahead…
